The Epistle of Jude

Jude 1

1 Jude, a bondservant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James, to those who are beloveda by God the Father and preservedc in Jesus Christ. 2 Mercy andd peace and love be multiplied to you. 3 Beloved, while I was giving all diligence to write to youe about our common salvation, I felt it necessary to write to you, exhorting thatf you earnestly contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. 4 For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who were long before marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men who turn the grace of our God into immorality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. 5 But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, how thatgthe Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. 6 And the angels who did not keep their first domain, but left their proper abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day. 7h Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication and going after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. 8i Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, andj speak evil of authorities. 9 But Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil and disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a railing accusation. But he said, k"The Lord rebuke you." 10l But these speak evil of those things that they do not know. But what they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves. 11 Woe to them! For they have gone in the waymof Cain andnhave run greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perishedo in the rebellion of Korah. 12 These are spots in your love feasts when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear. They are clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, plucked up by the roots, twice dead. 13pThey are raging waves of the sea, qfoaming out their own shame; wandering starsr for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever. 14 Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying,s "Behold, the Lord came with ten thousands of His saints 15 to execute judgment on all, and to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds that they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all thet harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against Him." 16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts. And theirumouth speaks great swelling words, vflattering people to gain advantage. 17wBut you, beloved, remember the words that were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, 18 that they told youxthere would be mockers in the last time who would walk after their own ungodly lusts. 19 These are worldly-minded ones who cause divisions, not having the Spirit. 20 But you, beloved, ybuilding yourselves up on your most holy faith,z praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God,a looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And on some who are doubting, have compassion. 23 Andbothers save,c pulling them out of the fire. And on some have mercy with fear, hating evendthe garment polluted by the flesh. 24e Now to Him who is able to keep you from falling andf to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, 25 to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
